Outside Ideas breaks ground at Whyalla Splash and Play Plaza

Construction of Whyalla’s new Splash and Play Plaza is now officially underway. This week, Outside Ideas joined Mayor Phill Stone, Senator for South Australia Karen Grogan, CEO Justin Commons, Whyalla City Council representatives, and local families for a sod turning ceremony on the Whyalla foreshore to mark the commencement of the project.

Outside Ideas was selected to deliver the new plaza due to our extensive experience delivering projects of a similar scale. The new precinct is designed for families, and will include water play features, an impressive play structure with a five-metre spiral slide, a large undercover play area with seating for parents, a half-court basketball court, a rock climbing wall, inground trampolines, and a merry-go-round.
