Following the successful delivery of the initial City Zone contract, the City of Holdfast Bay has awarded Outside Ideas the next stage of the Transforming Jetty Road project: the Transition & Coast Zones contract.
This second stage extends west from where the City zone ended at the Partridge and Gordon Street intersection all the way to Moseley Street, into Colley Terrace and the junction with Hope Street. This section of Jetty Road is the busiest entertaining and dining area on the strip and attracts high volumes of pedestrians.
Construction will begin next month and includes temporary restrictions to vehicle access to sections of Jetty Road. The construction schedule has been accelerated to allow work in the roadway to be undertaken while the Glenelg tram line is temporarily suspended as part of the State Government’s Tram Grade Separation Project.
