Outside Ideas delivered the landscaping works at Whyalla Secondary College for Sarah Constructions.

This project was won on the back of our successful delivery of the landscaping works for the Aldinga Paynithi College part of the SA Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP). The extensive scope of works included soft landscaping and irrigation works to the school surrounds along with furniture and sports equipment to courts and sports fields.

Outside Ideas also delivered one AFL oval and two soccer pitches which included subgrade preparation, a fully automatic irrigation system, and 300mm thick imported growing media that was compacted and laser graded to finished levels. We also laid over 40,000m2 of Tif-Tuf hand rolls. This was a test project for the new turf as the local site conditions and water quality meant that a different turf was required to ensure a quality sports field was delivered in a regional area.

The turf has been a success since we completed the works and the ongoing maintenance. This has led to us installing Tif-Tuf on other projects around South Australia including council reserves such as the Oaklands Crossing Community Connections project.
