Outside Ideas was awarded the contract to deliver Mofflin Reserve in Elizabeth Vale for the City of Playford.
Outside Ideas engaged landscape architecture firm Landskap to assist in both the design and construction phases of this park and recreation development. When Outside Ideas was awarded the contract, the design for Mofflin Reserve was at concept stage. Within 2 months, Outside Ideas brought the design from concept to 30% and then 80% design detail, at which stage construction work was able to begin ahead of schedule. This approach shortened the design process overall which saved the client time and money.
The scope included a 2000 square metre car park, irrigation and drainage, custom play equipment, nature play zone, fitness area, recreational area, basketball court, and toilet block. This development is integral to the Playford Health Precinct due to the site’s close proximity to Lyell McEwin Hospital, and a therapeutic garden was incorporated into the design for the benefit of patients, healthcare workers and hospital visitors.
Being aware of the client’s budget and the intended purpose for the reserve, Outside Ideas value managed the project and innovated where possible during the design and construction phases to save the client money whilst still meeting the brief. Mofflin Reserve was completed in mid-November 2023.
