Outside Ideas was awarded the structural and architectural concrete package by Kennett for the development of the new state-of-the-art senior school centre at Cardijn College.
Outside Ideas worked closely with the architect whilst performing the detailed excavation and delivering the structural and architectural concrete components, which included structural concrete terraces, columns, suspended slabs, exposed pavement, an insitu amphitheatre, and off form concrete stairs.
Innovative technologies employed by our team, as well as our in-house capability to self-deliver concrete in large quantities, were key to the success of the 1,400 cubic metres of concrete slab pours, and more than 2,000 square metres of topping slabs. 128 lineal metres of 80mm thick curved topping slabs were also poured, incorporating a 3mm zinc detail in a grid-like shape in accordance with the architect’s vision.
With so much of our work being seen in the final product, it was important that our team delivered structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing pours at every stage of this project.
