On very short notice, Outside Ideas was engaged to deliver the Anzac Centenary Memorial Walk addition on Kintore Avenue.

In addition to delivering the civil construction and landscaping components of Anzac Walk, Outside Ideas was involved in BMD Construction’s tender process, devising a methodology that provided a high quality and timely solution to ensure the high-profile project would be completed in time for the 2016 Anzac Day commemorations.

Work commenced immediately with earthworks in preparation for concrete walls and slabs. The in situ concrete walls needed to be formed and poured before the slabs could be poured and then later paved.

The project included more than 5,000 square metres of concrete slabs and Australian granite paving laid on mortar, and the forming and pouring of over 700 linear metres of insitu concrete walls that would later be clad with stone. During the course of the project, Outside Ideas was awarded additional works, greatly increasing the scope of the project, with the finish date remaining unchanged.

The project was heavily scrutinised in the weeks leading up to Anzac Day, however the project was completed on time and went on to win awards for its design and construction.
