Outside Ideas was awarded the civil packages for Public Realm Stages 3.2 and 4.2 of the Lot Fourteen redevelopment by Renewal SA in 2025.
Our scope includes the installation of a new stormwater system with a gross pollutant trap, new potable and non-potable SA water mains, sewer and water service reticulation, electrical services, lighting, telecommunications and CCTV, concrete pavements, asphalt pavements, and landscape works. We are also managing structural repairs and waterproofing to an existing service tunnel soffit, including custom fabricated structural steel internal wall bracing, and reconstruction of one section of the tunnel roof.
New asphalt has been installed across the precinct, and detailed stormwater and common service trench works have been completed, as well as pavement and kerbing prep work. Heritage footings and site contamination were key considerations on this project; the Outside Ideas team worked carefully around these, as well as existing and unknown services.
Outside Ideas has worked closely with Renewal SA, the Council, and service authorities to minimise the overall impact of the construction works, and to ensure that vehicles and pedestrians can maintain access to local stakeholders within the construction zone. Outside Ideas is proud to assist with the transformation of the old RAH site into a world-class public realm precinct.
