In February 2021, Outside Ideas was contracted by Sarah Constructions to complete the landscaping for Aldinga Payinthi College.
The scope of works included 45,000 square metres of turf sports fields, which is made up of a junior AFL oval, senior AFL oval and two soccer pitches, plus 10 acrylic multi-purpose sports courts, irrigation to the entire facility consisting of 180+ stations, 973 individual sprinklers and 20 kilometres of irrigation dripline, plus the installation of 819 trees, 22,000 plants, and 15,000 square metres of general instant turf areas.
Despite being contracted to complete the soft landscaping components only, we were able to provide assistance and support to other contractors that fell behind schedule in order to meet deadlines and requirements, which amounted in 7,800 square metres of concrete paths poured by Outside Ideas.
Outside Ideas made this project a success due to our in-house capabilities in landscaping, civil construction, and concreting, which enabled us to efficiently deliver all components required to a high standard, plus variations. Despite the challenges of expansive turf and sporting grounds during the winter months, this project was delivered on budget, and within the conservative 8-month deadline.
