Working for Icon Construction, Outside Ideas delivered the landscaping and civil packages over six levels of the new Indi Footscray, 702 built-to-rent apartments over three towers.
Each tower features well-designed communal, outdoor dining, and entertainment spaces, including a basketball half-court and large mixed use common area on the mezzanine level.
Outside Ideas delivered the streetscape and civil works to McNab Avenue, including bluestone paving and kerbing, and asphalt reinstatement. Across all three towers, we delivered the soft landscaping, composite decking, custom furniture, and synthetic grass.
Onsite logistics were a challenge, and Outside Ideas’ years of experience in delivering landscaping packages across multi-level projects ensured we had the knowledge and expertise to efficiently transport materials to all zones of this site. We utilised the passenger lifts and manpower for the larger items, including the furniture packages and 90 tonnes of alpine river pebble mulch, and soil blowing technology to import 600 cubic metres of lightweight planter mix to supply the garden beds across four of the levels.
Outside Ideas commenced work on site in February 2025. The completed landscape and streetscape were handed over in May 2026 within the client’s program and on budget.
