Outside Ideas assisted Hansen Yuncken in the delivery of 206 social and affordable housing homes at Bills Street, Hawthorn.
This project includes both hard and soft landscaping as well as civil works to construct the central roadway. Podium levels were landscaped with timber decking and paving, and there was a significant concrete scope with architectural finishes and a switch back ramp and stairs creating access to a nearby park.
Bills Street involved the staged delivery of ground level areas and 5 separate podiums which formed part of Victoria Government’s $5.3 billion Housing build, the largest social and affordable building program.
The development provided a mix of social and affordable homes including those a sustainable design targeting 5 star green star rating and a 7-star NatHERS rating.
