Outside Ideas was head contractor for stage one of the Victor Harbor mainstreet upgrade in 2016, creating a vibrant public space that celebrates the town's character, encourages more activity and improves links with other parts of the town centre.

During construction the scope of works included the demolition of the existing streetscape, clay brick paving, installation of a new stormwater system, street furniture, exposed aggregate concrete planters and pavement, optical fibre, a large scale projector, electrical infrastructure, and the installation of four mature palm trees and irrigation.

Outside Ideas created a staging plan which limited the road closure to just seven days, with traffic management plans ensuring that vehicular and pedestrian access to adjacent businesses was maintained at all times to minimise the impact on trading.

Since completion, the project has won South Australian landscape architectural awards.
