The new Flinders University Plaza and Student Hub is the university's biggest redevelopment in nearly 50 years. In 2015, Outside Ideas was contracted to manage the delivery of all hard and soft landscaping, including the plaza's feature terraced amphitheatre. Working with architects Woods Bagot and head contractor Lendlease, Outside Ideas created a vibrant space where students can learn, connect and play.

The site is built on the side of a hill which meant levels needed to be incorporated into the design. Outside Ideas poured a large set of stairs spanning up to 5 metres wide with 15 raisers, alongside terraced lawn areas and concrete bleachers that create perfect sitting spots. More than 2,000 square metres of polished concrete was poured to connect the old building with the new, with lawn and garden areas overlooking the existing lake.
